• Ulzzang (얼짱) •

Ulzzang (얼짱) is a popular South Korean term literally meaning "best face" or "good-looking".
Many ullzzang have entered the Korean entertainment business and some have risen to stardom. The practice originated in South Korea and is mainly found in Korea, China and Japan, but can also be found in Taiwan, the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Most ulzzang share similar features. They usually have big eyes (the main focus), a high nose bridge and fair light skin. Even though in Korean the term ulzzang means "best face," it is not necessary to meet all of these standards. However, most actors or actresses opted for plastic surgery to meet its standards. Some families even give vouchers or save up money for their children for plastic surgery. Among some of the most popular plastic surgeries would be East Asian blepharoplasty (also called "double eyelid surgery")  andrhinoplasty  to enhance the look of the nose to fit a more "western" image. Other surgeries would also include cheek reduction surgery, jaw surgery, and calf reduction surgery.

Fashion.
There are a few style trends that are followed, among the most popular are; The F.O.B (fresh off the boat) style which includes a lot of layering, and the Himegyaru style( "Hime" meaning "princess" and "gyaru" meaning "type of woman") adopted from Japanese fashion.

Accessories.
Ulzzangs must have a clean, blemish-free face that requires a near obsessive skincare routine. Ulzzangs desire "doll-like" eyes and wear circle lenses to make their eyes appear larger. Other accessories include glasses and false eyelashes.
